Our Fine Art and Antiques sales have an average of 600 lots – covering glass , ceramics , silver , pictures and more – whilst our general sale has in excess of 1000 lots .
Working the land
We manage over 65,000 acres of land – the equivalent of just over 1,000,000 tennis courts or 4,000,000 allotments ( some of which we look after too ).
Our fantastic team of over 50 loyal staff make us what we are : approachable , flexible , knowledgeable , and successful .
Going once , going twice ...
In the last few years , we ’ ve sold over £ 10,000,000 of property by auction – ranging from a copse at £ 20,000 to a dilapidated former rectory at £ 1,100,000 .
Given our rural setting,
we’re proud of our strong
reputation as one of the regions
leading auctioneers for vintage
and modern agricultural
machinery and equiptment.
As seen on TV
From classic cars to modern
combines, the diversity of
our auctions and never
knowing what the next
phone call will bring
is the most exciting
part of the job.
Our Auction Centre in Campsea
Ashe (about seven miles from
Framlingham) originally sold
livestock. While those days are
long gone, the site retains the
atmosphere of a traditional rural
market – as captured by BBC TV
programmes “Bargain Hunt” and
“Antiques Road Trip”.
Clarke & Simpson Auctions Ltd
The Auction Centre –
Fine Art, Chattels & Machinery
With six sales rooms, extensive storage facilities, yard
space and parking for around 300 cars, our Auction
Centre deals with a diverse range of items and caters
for a wide audience.
Our fine art and antiques auction takes place five
times a year and we host a specialist decorative arts
auction once every quarter. We also provide a fine
art and chattels valuation service on site or at your
home, which can precede a sale or be for insurance
or inheritance tax purposes.
Our general sale is lots of fun (pun intended), as
it always attracts a diverse collection of household
effects and chattels. If you’re an auction novice or
a little ring-rusty, read our useful online guides
to buying and selling and then come along:
we’re always happy to help.
After 40 years in the
business, I’m still captivated
by the unusual rather than
the most expensive lots –
these are the real treasures.
