Greetings from Edna Zybell Library!! The beautiful fall weather has
put me in the mood to get ready for
Fall Story Hour, which will begin Wednesday, October 9th at
10:30am. Ages will be 2 years old to
5 years old (not in school). It will be
held each Wednesday until October
30th when we will have a Halloween
Party at the Legion from 1:00pm 3:00 pm. There will be crafts, games,
treats and prizes for the best costumes!! So get your costume ready!!
Fall always brings our Iowa Library
Association conference. This will be
held at the Coralville Marriott
the 16th thru the 18th of October.
They always have good sessions to
learn about the multitude of things
that are available for your library.
It's always a fun time to mingle with
other librarians.
On Monday the 21st we
go to our Cedar County
Meeting in Bennett. This
is where all the libraries
come and we share what
we are doing at each of
our libraries. We also
discuss State Library concerns that are out there
that we should know
about.
Our book study is still
going strong. We have 10
members. It is held second Tuesday of each month at 7pm.
So if you are interested in joining
please stop in and I can give you
more information on it. It is a fun
time for sure.
Lots of fundraising events will be
coming up in the months of October, November and December, so
look for more details to
follow in the next few
weeks.
Lots of new books ( The
Longest Ride by Nicholas
Sparks,12th of Never by
James Patterson,) movies,
we just got in The
Croods, The Little Mermaid, Iron Man 3. So stop
in and check them out.
We have 10 computers
now in our library. Lots of
large print books. So
many things to offer at our library.
Happy Reading!
