Except for just being attracted to the subject, there were many other factors
included why I liked this museum. First of all, the location and the museum (the
building) are very pleasurable. Picture:
You can see that the building has open squares in the middle of it and that it is
built in the colonial style. What makes it memorable is that in the whole of Peru
the colonial buildings are built on the Inca buildings, this museum is a good
example of these buildings. The colonial style is a totally different culture brought
in by the Spanish invasion. It is actually quite particular to see those extremely
different cultures together, but I like it because I find it quite interesting to see
that a culture can change so extremely by external factors. The open squares are
also just nice to cool down and relax after absorbing all the information told.
Also, the museum presents itself and the subject in an enjoyable and convenient
way, the objects find with the mummies are shown together in different
categories and with pictures. This makes it easy to understand and to lay links
for everyone, which makes it more appealing. The real mummies are presented
in a dark room with some pictures. The dark room is actually just to keep the
mummies intact, but it still is a nice way to present the mummies. This is
because it makes you excited, it seems very unique. It is of course very unique
and the way it is presented makes it even more unique
What I liked most of all about the museum is the tour. You are obliged to take a
tour, which at first seemed silly to me, but the tours are very good. The nice and
the good thing about the tours is that they are done by Peruvians who are very
passionate about the Inca culture and the mummies themselves. They tell their
story about everything that is in the museum and you can see that it’s hard for
them to stop talking as they are so passionate about their country and their
