Women of Temple Israel( WoTI) Tea Party Honors Ruth Goldberg’ s Decades of Dedication to Torah Fund
By WoTI board of directors
At 95, Ruth Goldberg remains a familiar and steady presence within the WoTI community, something reflected immediately at the organization’ s recent Torah Fund Tea Party, where guests gathered not simply to celebrate a fundraising milestone, but to honor Goldberg’ s more than 50 years of dedication to the Torah Fund.
Recently, WoTI welcomed 70 attendees to the event, which celebrated Goldberg’ s long-standing commitment to the Women’ s League for Conservative Judaism( WLCJ) Torah Fund. Through its support of Conservative Jewish seminaries, the Torah Fund helps educate future rabbis, cantors, educators, synagogue administrators, social workers, scholars, researchers, and lay leaders.
The afternoon also marked an important achievement for the organization, as WoTI announced it had surpassed its 2025-26 Torah Fund fundraising goal.
Guests gathered over conversation and a buffet of international treats representing the five Torah Fund seminaries, creating
Hilary Rosenbaum and Ruth Goldberg. an atmosphere that reflected both celebration and community connection.
WoTI also received commemorative shadow boxes displaying Torah Fund pins, which will be publicly displayed, and expressed appreciation to the many leaders and volunteers whose efforts helped make the event possible.
