broader Federation system and national Jewish conversation. Members of JFGC’ s staff served as panelists in professional sessions
on fundraising and community engagement, sharing insights with colleagues from Federations across North America
. Charlotte’ s leadership was also reflected in national recognition of our efforts to combat antisemitism.
During a session on rising antisemitism, JFNA President and CEO Eric Fingerhut highlighted a joint statement from North Carolina’ s Jewish Federations addressing remarks made in the state’ s political sphere that described Zionists as“ Nazis” and
“ a threat to humanity.” The letter, sent to Josh Stein, was cited as an example of how Federations can respond collectively to antisemitic rhetoric.
“ Moments like this show how the work happening in Charlotte resonates far beyond our city,” Kolett said.“ Our community is not only engaged locally; we are contributing to national conversations about how Federations respond to challenges facing
Jewish communities today.”
Participation in FedPro underscores the role JFGC plays within the broader Federation system. As Charlotte continues to share ideas and collaborate with peers across North America, our Federation remains an active voice helping shape the future of Jewish communities nationwide.
