CIVITTA Annual Review 2018 | Page 10

Where do you see the major development in your region in the upcoming years? Triin Andresson, CEO in Estonia Describe CIVITTA Estonia operations. We are the largest consulting company in Estonia, and we are proud of that. This year Estonian economy has had a great year and it also shows in our numbers. Never before have we been as big as today. We have over 40 people working in two offices (Tallinn and Tartu). CIVITTA is actively partici- pating in the future of economic growth in Estonia: we work closely with start-ups, consult production companies, help to restructure public sector and coordinate many international projects funded by European Commission. In 2018 we renovated our Tartu office to reflect our company’s young spirit and free atmosphere. 10 CIVITTA Estonia will continue working in close cooperation with our Finland team to expand consulting services in both coun- tries. So far, this partnership has been mutually beneficial. We had identified many interesting oppor- tunities for joint innovation policy efforts between Estonia and Finland given shared strengths such as in ICT, a dynamic start-up environment and technologically sophisticated public services. Cross-border collaboration can help build an entrepreneurial knowledge region brand, and we look forward to seeing what this collaboration brings! At the same time, we continue to develop our core service lines and are actively looking for new opportunities to integrate digital and creative services to CIVITTA Estonia. Define a great leader. A great leader is authentic, passionate and even emotional about what he or she believes in. It is the leader’s job to share his or her vision with the team and live the values and the rest will follow. The team members know what they have to do and how to do it, but it is the leaders’ job to give inspira- tion, purpose and meaning of work. What leadership lesson can you share? It is better to make a bad decision than build up a habit of no decisions. What career advice do you have for younger colleagues starting to work in consulting? No project and no client will ever be perfect. Look at every consulting project as an amazing opportunity to learn and grow.
