2.3) Socio-economic survey
A socio-economic survey was performed by interviewing the local residents with generalized questionnaire
about the use of water mill, funding from the VDC, their potential expectation with the rehabilitation project
and their willingness to support upgraded watermill. The outcome was very positive with the villagers
showing their support to the rehabilitation project with manual labor work, financial assistance, and
commitment to optimally using the watermill and preserving it.

4) Power, Energy and Revenue Calculations
Considering 85% overall efficiency, 40% exceedance of discharge, 5% of head loss, and 20 operating hours,
the following results are obtained. To compute discharges of various months, MIP method was used.
