Manandhar S. and Karki S.S. Civil Insight (2019) 15-20 The maximum UCS value of the Ratmate soil is determined as 1314.04kPa when cured for 14 curing days treated with 7% cement. In this case, the minimum UCS value was determined to be 555.69kPa when treated with 3% cement content cured for the same 14 days. Also, the UCS value was increased up to 1265.68kPa with 5% cement content, but when cement was increased to 10%, UCS was decreased to 918.70kPa, as presented in Fig. 2 and Table 3 respectively. The maximum UCS value of the Ratmate soil was found to be 1651.98kPa cured for 28 curing days when treated with 7% cement. In contrary, the minimum UCS value was determined to be 617.48kPa when treated with 3% cement cured for the same 28 days. Fig. 1. Graph representing improved UCS value of Ratmate soil (red soil) cured for 7 days Also, the UCS value was increased up to 1506.06kPa with 5% cement content; however, when cement content was increased up to 10%, UCS decreased to 1036.24kPa, as shown in Fig. 3 and Table 3 respectively. The strength obtained after 28 curing days shall be the ultimate strength for this research. Fig. 2. Graph representing improved UCS value of Ratmate soil (red soil) cured for 14 days 17
