AAC Blocks: A Revolution in Construction Industry Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is an ultra-light precast concrete masonry product. It can weigh as little as 1/5th of the ordinary concrete due to its distinct cellular structure, featuring millions of tiny pockets of trapped air. This cellular structure gives AAC a number of exceptional physical characteristics. The finished product is up to five times the volume of the raw materials used, with an air content of 70% to 80%, depending on the required strength and density. Due to this large increase in volume, AAC is very resource-efficient. A truly green material, fly ash, which is the waste material generated by thermal power plant, is utilized in the manufacture of AAC products. This aids in saving the natural resources, on one hand, and on the other hand, assists in converting the industrial waste into productive use. This makes AAC blocks one of the best examples of a truly ‘green product,’ in every sense of the term. Its major features that makes it unique and effective are: x AAC has high thermal efficiency; x AAC structure are well-suited to withstand fires, earthquakes, and other natural disasters; and x AAC reduces noise pollution and improves indoor air quality Guru Ganesh AAC Block Udhyog has been producing these AAC blocks since 2018. These blocks are available in three sizes: 8 inches, 6 inches, and 4 inches thickness; the face dimension for each size is 8 inches x 24 inches. 102
