Tell us of the collaborations you have done so far? I have been working with artists such as Terrence Parker, Louie Vega, Carl Craig, Ron Trent, Josh Butler, Supernova, KORT, Priism and Juliet Fox so far and had the honour to release on labels such as Defected, Planet E, KMS, Toolroom, Cajual, Azuli, Soul Heaven etc. I appreciate that the effort my collaborators and I put in those projects gets such good response. I feel blessed to work with amazing artists who all inspired me in their own special way. Who have you always dreamt of working with and why? There are way too many great artists to mention now, but I would love to work with Timberland, Mark Ronson and James Blake one day. They are incredibly gifted musicians. Tell us about your latest projects? I am working on several projects at the moment. One of them will be released on Future Vision World, which happened in collaboration with Ron Trent. Besides that, I am working on my debut album and some other projects, one of them being with the British House producer Josh Butler. What are your plans for launching your own full album? My album will definitely show a more personal side of me. I have finally found the direction I want to go but good things take their time. There’s no rush in releasing the album, I want it to completely represent me, therefore I am going to take the time that is needed. How do you feel about the music industry today? I definitely know more about it, through my studies but mostly through experience. Today I am able to see the different sides of the industry - with age comes knowledge! I am more careful nowadays and more precise when it comes to working with people but also when it comes to discussing details regarding contracts etc. I think it’s good to know about these things. What musical instruments do you play? I can play the piano and guitar basics, but I would love to learn more instruments. What are your hobbies besides music? I love art, fashion and learning about other cultures. I really enjoy going to exhibitions to interpret the paintings and get inspired. I do sometimes paint as well; I think it’s a nice way to relax. Another hobby of mine is jogging; it is the perfect stress release besides music. 92 Share with us your proudest moment in your career so far? I guess that was when my first release came out on Defected, my favourite House label. I feel really blessed to be able to release on a label that actually introduced me into House music. I have huge respect for Simon Dunmore, the label boss of Defected, for making an Indie label as big as it is today. It shows that hard work pays off. JUNE, 2016
