Fire Safety
LA is in a desert and very dry, taking the proper precautions is critical.





Check smoke and carbon monoxide alarms once a month and change the batteries at least once a
year. The landlord is responsible for installing working alarms.
Plan and practice emergency evacuation routes so you know exactly what to do in the case of a
fire.
Test windows and doors. Are they easy to open? Wide and tall enough?
