City Services Satisfaction Survey 2019 City Services Satisfaction Survey | Page 41
Key Findings: Arlington Overall (cont.)
•
Location and convenience remain the top two reasons for living in Arlington, with
affordable housing and property taxes moving back into the third spot.
– Quality of life dropped from third place to fifth compared to last year. Perceptions of
overall quality of life have been on the decline since 2015 (from 80% in 2015 to 68% in
2020, top‐2 box), so it’s important to monitor and ensure that the city maintains high
scores on this measure.

•
Arlington is again perceived most often as being culturally diverse, having a variety
of housing options, and being financially stable. Scoring lowest was the perception
that Arlington is committed to going green.
Most residents would recommend Arlington as a place to live and intend to continue
living here. One‐third of residents surveyed work in Arlington.
