year, with positive ratings for 
quality of life in Arlington and 
for its neighborhoods as 
places to live. 
Likewise, most residents 
still say Arlington is headed 
in the right direction. 
– Results for this measure 
were down significantly in 
2018 from a fairly steady 
historical trend, and are 
similar in 2019.
– However, “Don’t know/No 
answer” saw the majority of 
the increase as compared to 
2017, rather than responses 
that Arlington is on the 
wrong track.
