Location, convenience, and affordable housing remain the top 3 reasons for living 
in Arlington.
Arlington is again perceived most often as being culturally diverse, having a variety 
of housing options, and being financially stable.
Nearly three‐quarters of residents recommend Arlington as a place to live, though 
that number is a significant decrease from the previous year. Three‐quarters of 
residents intend to continue living in Arlington, and nearly one‐third work in the city.
The city’s lowest scores include acceptable traffic levels and perceptions of Arlington 
being a great place to retire. Perception of Arlington being a great place to work 
shows a significant decline this wave compared to 2017.
