CHILDREN
Storytime Winter Session: January 8 – February 27
Toddler Storytime: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10:15am
Children ages 3 & under and their caregivers are invited
to join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and fun! Walk-ins are
always welcome, no registration required.
Preschool Storytime : Tuesdays and Wednesdays,
11:15am
Children ages 3-6 and their caregivers are invited to join
us for stories, songs, and silliness! Walk-ins are always
welcome, no registration required.
Reading is Fun: Tuesdays, 4-5pm
Beginning readers can practice fluency, vocabulary, and
comprehension by reading to teen volunteers.
Homework Help: Wednesdays, 4:30-6pm
Teen volunteers give one-on-one homework help to
elementary school-aged children. No registration
required.
Tales for Tails: 2nd Monday of the month, 4-5pm
Children will develop reading skills and confidence by
reading out loud to trained therapy dogs.
TEENS
Teen Volunteer Opportunities: 13 yrs+
Reading volunteers are needed. Interested teens should
contact Librarian Serene Salgado for details at

FAMILY
Family Programs: 2nd Thursday of every month,
4pm
Join us for special performances paid for by the Laguna
Niguel Friends of the Library. Call for more information.

Police Auxiliary Citizens Team (PACT)
The City of Laguna Niguel is seeking active, retired men
and women ages 50 and above, who are interested in
volunteer work with Laguna Niguel Police Services. No
experience is necessary, but volunteers must be willing to
commit to a minimum of four hours per week. The days
and duty hours are flexible to meet your needs.
Duties include:
• Vacation home checks
• Business patrol checks
• Traffic control
• Parking enforcement
• Special events (Holiday Parade, Summer Concerts,
and other city events)
Qualifications:
• Physical exam (paid for by The City of Laguna Niguel)
• Valid California Driver License
• Criminal background check
