SNAKES AREN’T SCARY
Join us for an informative and interactive lecture about
snakes in Orange County presented by Dr. Scott Weldy
and Dr. Kristi Krause. Learn about snake identification,
habitat, safety and first aid treatment. The first part of the
presentation is a lecture which will be followed by a live snake
exhibit. PARENTS, please be sure your children are mature
enough to sit through a 45-minute talk, children 5 years old
and older are welcome to attend. Seating is available on a
first come-first served basis.

Kids’ Campfire Program
Play, eat, hike, and sing campfire
songs! Parks and Recreation
staff will lead group games, while
another staff cooks hot dogs on
the BBQ! Chips, fresh fruit, and
water will also be provided. Staff
will lead groups on a hike into
the Niguel Botanical Preserve
to hear stories about nocturnal animals. Participants will
then roast marshmallows around the campfire and enjoy
s’mores! Please wear tennis shows (no flip-flops or sandals),
and bring a sweatshirt and flashlight for the night hike. Pre-
registration required by Thursday, August 1 at 5pm.

8th Annual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
Celebrate a night against crime
with Laguna Niguel Police Services
at the 8th annual National Night
Out! Activities include Orange
County Sheriff’s Department CSI
and Bomb Squad displays, Sheriff’s
Deputies, OCFA Fire engine, food
from local restaurants, games,
giveaways, information on crime prevention, emergency
preparedness, fire prevention, drug and alcohol abuse
prevention, and more! On this night, as a National Night Out
tradition, you can also show your support by leaving your
outdoor lights on as part of a vigil to show our unity as a city.
We look forward to celebrating with you and your family on
this special night.

Vendors Wanted!
Applications will be accepted from
June 1 through August 1 for the annual
Crafts Faire. Submit applications
to the Parks and Recreation Office
at 29751 Crown Valley Parkway
for
HANDCRAFTED/HAND-
EMBELLISHED items only. Clear
pictures of all handcrafted items to
be sold must accompany applications (digital copies okay, all
photos will be kept). Applications to be reviewed and approved/
denied by staff, and spaces will be assigned on a first come,
first served basis. To allow for a variety of items, some offerings
will have limited openings (e.g. jewelry, baby items, soaps, etc.).
Indoor and limited outdoor spaces are available with a two
space per application maximum. For Crafts Faire Application,
