A Message from City Manager Tamara Letourneau Hello again, Laguna Niguel! I would like to start by giving a heartfelt “thank you” to the residents of this remarkable community, the City Council, and hard-working staff for welcoming me with open arms. In just my first few months I have seen first-hand the involvement and passion that Laguna Niguel residents have for the hidden gem of Orange County. I have seen the unwavering dedication to continue to enhance the quality of life in by the City Council; and I have seen the desire to serve others exhibited through providing services and programs to residents by our City staff. Though I have only been here for a few months, there has been no shortage of providing creative, innovative, and community-oriented solutions to make the place where you live, work and play better each day. Parks & Recreation Instructor Showcase Angie Knight Yoga Instructor Angie Knight has been teaching yoga with the City of Laguna Niguel for over 25 years, and currently teaches at Sea Country Senior & Community Center. She obtained her Yoga Teaching Certification with a month-long intensive at Sivanada Yoga Vedanta Center in Grass Valley in 1989. She soon began teaching all over Orange County at health clubs, yoga centers, and community centers. Angie feels truly blessed to be doing what she loves, knowing yoga continues to enlighten and reaffirm its health, mind, and spiritual beliefs to all who practice. Namaste. One of these solutions is the City Council’s adoption of Laguna Niguel’s first-ever strategic plan that will guide us into the future. This roadmap, Laguna Niguel: 2050 – The Pursuit of Happiness Strategic Plan, contains a mission and vision statement, guiding values, and identified goals. I am excited to share these with you today.
