A Message from
City Manager Tamara Letourneau
Hello again, Laguna Niguel! I would like to
start by giving a heartfelt “thank you” to
the residents of this remarkable community,
the City Council, and hard-working staff
for welcoming me with open arms. In just
my first few months I have seen first-hand
the involvement and passion that Laguna Niguel residents
have for the hidden gem of Orange County. I have seen the
unwavering dedication to continue to enhance the quality of
life in by the City Council; and I have seen the desire to serve
others exhibited through providing services and programs to
residents by our City staff. Though I have only been here for a
few months, there has been no shortage of providing creative,
innovative, and community-oriented solutions to make the
place where you live, work and play better each day.

Angie Knight
Yoga Instructor
Angie Knight has been teaching yoga with the
City of Laguna Niguel for over 25 years, and
currently teaches at Sea Country Senior &
Community Center. She obtained her Yoga Teaching Certification
with a month-long intensive at Sivanada Yoga Vedanta Center in
Grass Valley in 1989. She soon began teaching all over Orange
County at health clubs, yoga centers, and community centers.
Angie feels truly blessed to be doing what she loves, knowing
yoga continues to enlighten and reaffirm its health, mind, and
spiritual beliefs to all who practice. Namaste.
One of these solutions is the City Council’s adoption of Laguna
Niguel’s first-ever strategic plan that will guide us into the
future. This roadmap, Laguna Niguel: 2050 – The Pursuit
of Happiness Strategic Plan, contains a mission and vision
statement, guiding values, and identified goals. I am excited to
share these with you today.
