FITNESS EXCURSIONS Beginning Adult Traditional Japanese Karate-Do Learn the art of traditional karate. Improve your physical fitness and balance. Sensei Nishimura is a world class competitor and has over 40-years of instructing basic Japanese commands and counting, meditation, self-defense and how to spar correctly. This class is progressive. (11 weeks) Instructor: Sensei Nishimura/Location: USA Wado Ryu Karate 10917 Apollo 11 Moon Landing Exhibit at Nixon Library with lunch at Mimi’s Cafe Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 of the moon landing at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. This all-new interactive special exhibit, APOLLO 11: One Giant Leap for Mankind will take you back in time to 1969! The exhibit’s 360-degree virtual reality experience will transport visitors to the lunar surface on July 20, 1969, where you will see and hear all that took place on that infamous day including a giant replica of the Apollo command module and a NASA X-15 silver- gleaming pressure suit used to train America’s first astronauts in the 1950’s, and much more. You will also have time to explore the library’s permanent exhibits, President Nixon’s childhood home, gardens, and final resting place. Lunch is included at Mimi’s Café on this amazing tour. This class will help you get the entire body working in harmony in the golf swing. Emphasis will be getting the lower body involved, and which muscles should be activated. Proper technique for chipping & putting will be taught. Review the fundamentals of the golf swing and work with each student personal limitations with the swing as well as the body.
