A Message From Parks and Recreation Instructor Showcase Anette Monroe Dear Neighbors, Zumba Gold The hustle and bustle of Summer has passed and now is the time to FALL into fun and transformation. Anette Monroe teaches with great joy and passion. She fell in love with Zumba from the first time she tried it because it took the “work” out of the workout and made it fun. Zumba incorporates rhythms from all over the world and you are able to dance your way to a healthier, fit life through the joys of music. Park improvements at one of the City’s oldest and most utilized facilities, Crown Valley Community Park, began in June and will continue over the next several years. This is an exciting time for residents and staff. Phase 1 improvements will begin in September and include remodeling of the amphitheater and installation of an upper park level public restroom facility. The existing playground will be replaced with multisensory play equipment, including installation of a new splash pad. This project is scheduled to be completed in May 2015. Future projects include a new park entry and a state of the art community center. All Parks and Recreation, Aquatics and YMCA programs and events will continue to be offered, however we do expect minor interruption to some services, including playground use. We encourage you to allow extra time for parking, and to please use caution when accessing activities in the construction zone. Staff will receive project status updates throughout the construction process and should be able to answer any questions you may have. If you would like to see what’s to come, stop by the Parks and Recreation office at 29751 Crown Valley Parkway. We appreciate your patience and patronage during this exciting transformation process. We can’t wait to share the new and improved Crown Valley Park with you! Regards, Laguna Niguel Parks and Recreation Department Staff Anette immigrated to the USA from Denmark and enjoys SoCal living.
