LpS 2015 Bregenz,
trend and technologies
for the future lighting
F
ew weeks ago, the 5th edition LED
Professional Symposium + Expo in
Bregenz closed. The 2015 theme was
“Trends & Technologies for Future Lighting
Solutions” which deepened SSL (Solid
State Lighting) research. City Life Magazine participated in several LED and OLED
system seminaries and workshops. The
Symposium was opened by Joe Niemela
(Global Coordinator IYL 2015), followed
by speeches by Prof. Zary Segall (Endowed Chair Professor KTM Stockolm),
and Rogier Van der Heide (Chief Design
and Marketing Zumtobel Group) and Jy
Bharwaj (Senior Vice President R&D Lumileds).
The three days symposium were divided
into main areas, the first day was focused
on Light Quality, Connectivity and Safety,
Standardization and Measurement; the
second one on LED and OLED, Smart
Controls, Drivers & Optics, Thermal management; the closing day was about
Lighting Systems, Measurements and
Production, Optics, Smart Control and
Automotive lighting. Each section went
into detail with best practice LED companies specialist speeches. In particular
