Dining with Kids BEST EATS in#YEG WRITTEN BY | LORI GODIN ..................................... Whether it is date night or dining out with the kids, we eat out quite a bit. We’re always looking for new places to enjoy but have our go-to, tried and true, list of places that we find ourselves returning to time after time. THANH THANH ORIENTAL NOODLE HOUSE Than Thanhs has quick service, great food and a Vietnamese menu that has something for everyone. It’s easy to be in and out in under 40 minutes, everyone fed full of their favourite dishes and there’s always leftovers to bring home for the next day. The Lemongrass with Spicy Coconut sauce is what cravings are made of – and don’t let the neighbourhood fool you, it’s worth a try for dinner. BREWSTER’S Brewster’s is one of my favourite places to dine out with the kids. The kid menu is great – try the Mac and Cheese, you’ll be sneaking bites. The booths are spacious and keep the kids contained and they’re content colouring while we make our way through wing night. 16 • THE BURG Too busy for our style on weekend nights, we prefer The Burg when it first opens on weekend mornings. The kids can dine on the dip duo or sliders, while we can enjoy one of the burgers and share fries between the four of us. Follow it up with a trip to the City Market downtown and you’ve got a great lunch and afternoon idea. BLUE PLATE DINER Funky décor and tasty brunches, the Blue Plate Diner is a hotspot for those weekend mornings spent in the heart of the city.
