The collected funds benefit the local community . In its initial launch , The Foundation for Foster Children , which was formed in 2008 to address the staggering statistics surrounding kids in foster care , was selected as the beneficiary . The organization provides personalized support to children in foster care based on three pillars ; Enrichment , Education and Transition to Adulthood and has already received $ 2,000 from the GOAA collaboration .
