“ Hi ! It is Brie Marchione . I am a new Cadette and I have been planning my Trailblazing badge since I was a Junior . I finally earned it in the Great Smokey Mountains this year ! I made my own trail mix from scratch , researched the best hiking areas , shopped for my gear , and set off . I even brought a bag to clean up any litter along the six-mile trail . What a fun day !!”
Maddison Sellier
Maddison Sellier is a first-year Cadette and 5th year Girl Scout . She likes being a Juliette because she can choose what is done with the money she earns and is really looking forward to hopefully attending summer camp , if it ’ s offered this year . She also enjoys being in control of the patches and badges she is earning and having a say . Last year she sold over 1,300 GS cookie boxes . She drew the image that was selected for the recruitment patch for Citrus Council which is a huge accomplishment . She really loves the sisterhood of being in Girl Scouts and feels it was amazing how councils across the US banded together through the pandemic to facilitate patch and badge work virtually and embraced her . She values the friendships she was able to make .
