Before that first box of Thin Mints is opened , it takes a mighty team of volunteers to make sure the cookie CEO ’ s are prepared to supply Central Florida with their yearly fix of Girl Scout Cookies . For the past three years , Central Moving and Storage ( CMS ) has partnered with Girl Scouts of Citrus ( GSC ) to produce Mega Drop . A yearly , all hands-on-deck way to organize and distribute 86,000 cases of cookies to the council ’ s six county footprint .
With the help of 275 volunteers , CMS is able to move empty cars , trucks , and of course a few moving vans through their facility before packing them full of cookie at one of the 13 volunteeroperated commercial sized bays . This closely choreographed dance is what allows GSC to distribute all of the cookies in a single day .
CMS is all-in for girls and their passion shows . During mega drop , CMS will move trailers , take down fences , remove parking spot cement blocks , and provide traffic cones . They supply 100 % of their staff to volunteer and the warehouse for cookie safe keeping . All at no cost to the Girl Scouts of Citrus .

“ I can ’ t say enough good things about CMS . They go above and beyond of what is expected , said , Debbie Zito , Girl Scout of Citrus Director of Products . “ They do not just deliver our cookies , but they take ownership of the process .”

“ What started out as a business relationship four years ago , has turned into an unexpected friendship . From all the meetings and phone calls , to the planning and execution , it takes a team effort to pull off the Mega Drop .
Our relationship has become a source of great pride for our company . We look forward to many more successful years as a partner with the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council ,” said Jason Fontaine , Operations Manager at Central Moving & Storage .
Central Moving & Storage has been a staple in the local community since 1977 . This familyowned and operated business has openly gained and will continue to support over 12,000 Girl Scout Cookie CEO ’ s , who will one day be the business leaders of Central Florida .
