Girl Scout Robotics Team 7407
The C . A . K . E . B . A . T . T . E . R . S . ( Girl Scout Robotics Team 7407 ) recently attended a Qualifier Competition on February 4 in Daytona and received an award for Robot Performance ! Their project , the “ Ultimate Box Measurer ”, was the talk of the competition . The purpose of the project was to make it easier to weigh and measure boxes that need a shipping label to be processed by the Post Office or shipping companies .
Their creation featured an enhancement to the scale which automatically measures and weighs the package once it is put on the scale and the reset button is pushed . This enhancement will save shipping companies time preparing packages for shipping . The team just received an “ alternate bid ” to go to a Regional Competition . If one of the other teams cannot compete , the C . A . K . E . B . A . T . T . E . R . S . will move on to the next level of competition !
Girl Scouts Martial Arts Workshop
Girl Scouts of all ages in the Voyager Community participated in a martial arts workshop at Family Taekwon-Do and Fitness Center in Melbourne . Family Taekwon-Do and Fitness Center waived the $ 5 event fee which was donated to GIFTS for Girls .
