Seminole County Cookie Rally

With every Girl Scout cookie season comes community cookie rallies – an opportunity for Girl Scouts to learn essential business skills while having fun with friends and working toward the completion of Entrepreneurship badges and pins for their level of Girl Scouting . This year , the cookie rallies were something to look forward to since last year ’ s efforts were affected by COVID .
Phoenix Community , with the help of several other Girl Scout communities in Seminole County , held their rally at Reiter Park in Longwood on January 15th , and girls were lined up to get in ! In the end , 89 girls attended the rally , according to Citrus Council Community Engagement Manager and Phoenix Girl Scout Mom , Susie Reale . Vests and sashes of all colors were visible at the rally , with fun events for all ages .
Most of the booths were run by parent volunteers . Girls set goals for the 2022 cookie season and learned how to take online orders at the Goal Setting booth . Making the sale ( and handling “ no ”) in a professional way was the focus at the Sales 101 booth , where girls also made a prospect list of people who might want to buy their cookies . Two booths featured the chance to get artistic . Girls made advertising posters in Marketing 101 and then visited a booth run by an Ambassador Girl Scout to learn how to draw this year ’ s koala mascot . Girl Scouts could practice booth etiquette and try out all the jobs they will be expected to fill at this year ’ s booths . They visited a digital media station to learn how to post sales information on social media in a safe way . Finally , at the Cookie 101 booth , there were lots of fun facts to learn about cookies , including health and flavor information and how customers could choose the Care to Share option when buying cookies . The only thing missing was a chance to taste test the new Adventureful cookie !
There were lots of smiles and energy at this event , with every girl earning a “ Certificate of Completion for Cookie Bootcamp ”. Thanks to this rally , 2022 sales are sure to be successful !
