What would YOU do? (A story told from different points of view)

Fernández Ivern, Mariana

Although I felt angry, I didn't do anything because I was scared that if I did, they would probably bother me too. This feeling continued because the bullies didn't stop bothering the boy every day after school, and I couldn't do anything. I was afraid because I didn't want to stand up to the bullies alone, so I talked with my friends about the problem. They agreed that we had to do something. One of them had a great idea. He told us that it would be a surprise.

The next day I saw that my friend Derek had dyed his hair red. I thought it was a really good idea but I didn’t know if the bullies would stop bothering the little boy. We were sitting on the same bench as usual, when we saw the little boy with his bike and we realised that the bullies were coming towards him. They were about to start bothering him when they saw my friend´s hair. The tall boy understood that he had to stop punishing the younger boy and the bullies left. The little boy felt good because he knew that he wasn't alone.

In my opinion, it is essential to help the victims of bullying. We must always do something and we

shouldn´t just sit in silence. It is important to be alert in case someone needs help.
