Inequality

Ruiz Rivas, Alicia

We can see the clear socio- economic difference between a shanty town and the very expensive city opposite it. While the people in the city live in high skyscrapers and go to pricey restaurants, the poor in the slum live in small houses made of cardboard, wood or tin. Besides they do not have essential facilities such as hospitals, a sewage system or running water.

In this place, we can see that the houses are made of cardboard, recycled tin

rooftops and materials that they find . Besides they make their houses themselves.
