Inequality

Ruiz Rivas, Alicia

In this picture we can see the Dot Baires Shopping and the Mitre neighborhood which is a very poor area. It is a clear example of inequality.

Both the people who live in the slum and those who shop in the Dot Baires Shopping have different lifestyles. There is more security at the Dot shopping mall than in the neighborhood nearby. The Dot has lots of fashionable boutiques, pricey restaurants and coffee shops while the people in the Mitre neighborhood don’t have enough resources to get what they need. The shopping mall has air conditioning, a playground, a supermarket and the toilets are in a good condition.

In the Mitre neighborhood there are some people who live in very poor houses made of tin , cardboard and corrugated iron and don't have all the necessary things to live a good life.. When it rains the place gets flooded and the water flows into their houses and ruins their things.
