Change in Society

Antón, Santiago

Political correctness

From the moment you are born, everyone is expecting you to be like the stereotype of what they think is right.

For a person that is told how you have to be since then , it’s hard to define yourself and be okay with it. If it’s not your family, it’s society or your friends who are telling you what is right or what they think is right.

We think that society is always trying to make you change. Society also shapes you as a person, you learn a lot of things, and it helps you realize who you are.

Nowadays, society is willing to accept “different” ways of life.

For example, in the past, homosexual people were discriminated and they weren’t accepted in society. Now, there are laws that allow gay people to marry.

We think that in the present there is less discrimination than before, however, it still exists.
