Another mechanism that allows direct civic participation is referendums which are a direct vote in which an entire electorate is asked to vote for a particular proposal without going through the phase of the representatives voting “for” the citizenship. Obviously the entire population can not be voting every day, but for certain issues this could be a solution.
Civic engagement is the answer, participating and contributing for a better development of politics is the path to true democracy and the inclusion of population in the decision making process. We should not let ourselves succumb under the oppression of the ruling class.
