Hideaway True Blue Hideaway True Blue At an early age Nixon embarked on a career inspired to serve others by studying Biblical Studies with the aim of becoming a Pastoral Counsellor which in his words “is like being a psychoanalyst focusing on youth with a strong emphasis on Christian and biblical teachings.” Illustrating his high standards of integrity Nixon continues “I wanted to finish my work with the Government first before I started on my own private project, as I did not want to give any perception of a conflict of interest. Moving forever onwards he then pursued studies in accounting and then went on to do an undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering, followed that with an MBA in International Relations and then most recently in 2014 completed a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) in Asian Studies in Hong Kong. “With student housing in mind we formed a business plan to incorporate 46 fully self contained and furnished luxury apartments which has 60 beds.” Hideaway True Blue was conceived …”We like to call them Condos as that sounds more elegant and more in keeping with the quality of the product we have developed here". Further Education it appears, has always been an ally to Nixon and has helped him to further his vision and achieve his life goals. “If you look around, a lot of student housing is very basic with the bare essentials of bed, desk, basic appliances. The value for money against the price demanded, was not a very good value proposition, so I wanted to raise the bar to increase the level of quality". says Nixon Having worked in Asia since 1995 and armed with such stellar credentials, Richard Nixon has become somewhat of an expert in and on the region, so it would come as no surprise if he served Grenada again in the future as a public servant and diplomat. Nixon’s latest hat he chooses to wear in Grenada, is as a property developer & has taken years of incubation and planning. Situated on a prime piece of land literally right outside the gates of the world famous, St George’s University, Nixon recalls “My dad purchased this land in the early 70’s and it was always his dream to do something here like a boutique hotel or something like that. Eventually the University came and it kinda lended itself to student housing because of the tremendous growth the school has been experiencing over the years. “Our prices are not the cheapest whist we are not the most expensive either, but I feel you get tremendous value for money here. There is no other student accommodation where you can boast of an inclusive conference room , student lounge and study area, and fine furnishings throughout like we have here. In fact we are so close to the school we could put a zip line from here directly on to Campus!" “ “So we wanted to raise the bar out of respect for the student market and not kill them by route of their pocket book." Chinese workers have a different work ethic to local labor practices but we have been delighted to see the local labour force embrace many of their methods skill sets and work habits ... 60-70% of the workforce was Grenadian “As a result we are already fully booked for the next 2 1/2 years and the waiting list is growing. Everyday we get around 4-5 enquires “ Formely the deputy Grenadian Ambassador to China, Richard Nixon is part Grenadian patriot willing to serve his nation and part shrewd entrepreneur looking to build a legacy for himself and family. “ With student housing in mind we formed a business plan to incorporate 46 fully self contained and furnished luxury apartments which has 60 beds. “ N ot to be confused with the 37th president of the United States of America, Grenada’s very own Richard Nixon is making sure he leaves his own distinct mark on Grenada.
