Edinburgh residents rank themselves
as healthiest
According to the 2011 census, figures reveal
that Edinburgh as the healthiest city in
Scotland. The city’s figure of 58.8 percent
gives residents the highest possible ranking
compared to a Scottish average of 52.5 percent,
according to the National Records of Scotland.
Being a compact city with plenty of walkable
routes and providing top class sporting and
exercise amenities were reasons for its higher
ranking over arch-rival Glasgow.
