On the final day of the meeting we enjoyed
on last circuit. This was the Dunstanburgh
circuit. But before travelling to the fishing village
of Craster to start our walk, we visitied Alnwick
Castle...for a distant view and then Cragside Hall.
Cragside was built by Lord Armstrong a northern
Industrialist. From Cragside we went to Craster
and started our final circuit. The Dunstanburgh circuit
takes in a small fishing village and then follows the shore
to Dunstanburgh castle. Dunstanburgh was built in 1313
and is associated with many local legends, including Guy
The seker, who discovered a crystel cave under the entrance
which housed sleeping warriors and beautiful women. A
wizard cursed him for waking the band up too early.
