District Board Member Spotlight
Taylor Welniak
Tell us a little about your self?
Hello Florida District! My name is Taylor Welniak and I am a member of Florida
State University's CKI. I originally decided to join CKI because I wanted to keep
up my passion for volunteering that I developed at the high school level in Key
Club while also looking to meet new people in college who shared my interests! This led to my brand new positions on the Florida District Board! I'm really
looking forward to what this upcoming year holds and if you have any questions or want to get more involved with my positions, I love to collaborate!
What is your district board position?
This year I am Young Children Priority One Chair as well as International Regional Relations Chair. My goals for Young Children Priority One Chair are
to bring this Kiwanis initiative to CKI and to put out guidelines for childfriendly educational programs CKIs can follow have service projects for
the Young Children Priority One age group! As for my International Regional Relations chair, I want to really highlight the service the Subregion is doing. I have already put together a PowerPoint on all the Sub-Region G's
governor's projects and I plan to be involved with planning any district service projects; really anything that brings our districts closer together in service!
What is your Major and what do you plan to do with it?
My academic plan is to double major in Biological Science and Editing,
Writing, Media and hope to peruse a field in scientific writing or communication! This fall I am taking Organic Chemistry 1, Rhetoric, Bio-Statistics,
Multicultural Film, and a research class!
