November is Kiwanis family month and as Kiwanis. org informs us, it is kind of like a month long family reunion! This is a month to show unity among our K-Family branches and serve together in our communities. This month is dedicated to showing the progress we’ ve all done together to help our local communities and the world be a better place. It’ s a time to share what’ s working in our own clubs and learn how other clubs succeed as well. Anyone who is passionate about serving their community through service and leadership has the potential of being K-family member! In fact Kiwanis, if you didn’ t already know, is a global organization of volunteers who are dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time! As mentioned earlier anyone can be part of the K-Family no matter their age, meet our family of clubs:
K-Kids: K-Kids is where elementary school students begin developing their hearts for service. This studentled service leadership program develops leadership skills and strong moral character while giving students an opportunity to participate in service projects.
Builder’ s Club: Builders Club, designed for middle school students, encourages them to focus their passion and energy on serving others. As members, they learn self-confidence and become tomorrow’ s leaders through teamwork, goalsetting and action.
Key Club International: Key Club is the oldest and largest high school service organization in the world. Key Clubs are in 36 countries and consist of members dedicated to bettering their communities and the world. We prepare Key Clubbers for success by equipping them with leadership
Circle K International: Circle K International is the world’ s largest student-led service organization for college students. Now in 19 nations, this group is among the most passionate Kiwanis-family members when it comes to service.
Aktion Club: Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities. Members develop confidence and self-esteem by adopting leadership roles within their clubs. They also discover their own talents as they use them to help others.
