Travel takes a toll on both people and machines.
So a sturdy design was essential in selecting the
portable CR imaging systems used to perform X-ray
exams at more than 100 correctional facilities throughout
Georgia. Technologists at Global Diagnostic Services, of
Conyers, Ga., use four CARESTREAM Vita CR systems to
perform 500-600 mobile imaging exams a week. The X-ray
tube is mounted on wheels and the CR system and laptop
are positioned on a cart.
