Dreamtime the next
W
ell another year gone and what better way to cap it than
Dreamtime, which was held in Brisbane for the first time
this year. As Tourism Australia’s signature international incentive
showcase, the Dreamtime team always do an amazing job of
highlighting the unique attributes of each host city, and Brisbane
was no exception. ‘Brisbane is’ was the tag line, and from what
was experienced during Dreamtime you can safely say Brisbane
is a world-class city that is brimming with energy. There’s a huge
amount of investment being ploughed into Queensland’s capital in
the form of new hotels, meeting spaces and venues, not to mention
the thriving food scene, which is laying down the foundation for
a very rosy future. Brisbane’s growing appeal to an international
incentive market also shows how mature the nation is as a destination. Overseas visitors
have often been here before and are looking for new horizons, with Brisbane ready to
welcome them. Brisbane’s easy access to other regional attractions such as the Gold Coast,
Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef to name but a few also puts it in a winning position.
Looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds over the next few years.
