MEA MEA accelerates in 2018 The Ultimate Events Industry Conference will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre’s recently opened East Building on May 6 to 8, 2018. As the largest gathering of event organisers, PCOs, in-house event managers, special event managers, experts in production, exhibition organisers and designers, venues and hotels, MEA2018 will bring together the whole of the industry to network and exchange ideas and experiences. To kick start the MEA2018 acceleration, delegates can chose from a wide variety of famils including Adelaide Oval Roofclimb or Stadium Tour, Penfolds Magill Estate tasting tour, Marble Hill Cherries jam making and Novotel Barossa Valley. Designed to educate and inspire, these famils will provide an exhaustive selection of options that Adelaide and South Australia offer as a business event destination. MEA welcomes Anders Sörman-Nilsson (inset pictured) as one of its keynote speakers. Anders raises the pivotal idea that future delegates will allocate their time to events that will transform them – not just inspire them. He will share with delegates his insights into what transformational events will look like. In recognition of the abundance of creative talent in our industry and keeping with its aim to introduce new elements to the MEA Conference, the inaugural MEA Photography Competition will be part of the conference in 2018. Entries under the theme of ‘Accelerate’ will be on display at the Adelaide Convention Centre for the duration of the conference and eligible for Judges’ Awards and a Peoples’ Choice Award. For more details on how to enter for this competition head to the conference website.
