VENUES Revamped Ovolo Inchcolm channels 1930s charm The reimagined Ovolo Inchcolm Brisbane has opened transforming the former New Inchcolm Hotel. The new look draws inspiration from its rich architectural heritage, dating back to the 1920s, embodied by a concept it calls ‘The Cabinet of Curiosity’, curated by stylist Anna Roberts. Guests will find an oddball mix of books, objects and artefacts paying homage to the building’s history, while uniquely themed interiors tell their own stories as guests make their way through the hotel. Oaks Hotels & Resorts is set to make its debut in Wellington on New Zealand’s North Island, with Oaks Wellington slated to open next year. The $15 million new build beachfront hotel offers 58 studio rooms, each of which features a separate dining area and balcony. The hotel also has an onsite bistro and bar, conferencing facilities and rooftop entertainment space.
