national act. I feel honored. So, yes, I guess I do
consider it a milestone.
Matt: Of the three of us, I’m probably the most
familiar with DRI . . . I was a metal head of the
first order back in the day. I used to listen to all
the really obscure early metal blade stuff, and
saw DRI’s “Four Of A Kind” in a friend’s tape
collection right around ‘89 or so . . . so I grew
up listening to them. I drew their logo on history
book covers and stuff in junior high. They were
never a real major favorite, but always a band I
respected. They represented some of my favorite thrash bands . . . crossover was such a cool

sound at the time, bands like DRI, Black Flag,
C.O.C, Hirax. So yeah, it’s a milestone personally
and as a musician. It’s probably the biggest act
I’ve opened for, and definitely an honor. I can
definitely tell you it’s a milestone for the band.
David: It’s cool playing on a bill with a band that
I remember my classmates in high school having
their logo drawn on their notebooks and hopefully this opens even more doors for Lobotomobile.
