Wheelerstock For Cystic Fibrosis September 6th Croydon, NH ◊ W heelerstock, a rocking new music festival to benefit the Northern New England Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, is September 6th, 2014 at Page Farm in Croydon, NH. The festival will feature local and regional headliners, The Wheelers, Lynguistic Civilians and Jester Jigs, as well as onsite overnight camping. Ty McCarthy, who is the festival pioneer and also the drummer for The Wheelers, was inspired to turn the music festival into a benefit after watching his close friend Jake warrior through his own battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Jake recently survived a double lung transplant, but still suffers from the life-threatening genetic disorder. McCarthy is hopeful that Wheelerstock will be able to help both his friend and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and has set a goal of raising at least 5K dollars from Wheelerstock, to be donated to the foundation. Another highlight of the music festival fundraiser is the Wheelerstock Raffle. The guests will get a chance to win one of the many items donated by Wheelerstock’s local sponsors, ranging from a brand new guitar to local restaurant gift certificates. Some of the local sponsors include: Woodchuck Hard Cider, Bear Hollow Vintage Guitar, Seven Barrel Brewery, July• 2014 and Windsor Station, among others. A hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets at the festival will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, who has endorsed the event as an official benefit partner. Raffle tickets can also be purchased by non-attendees prior to Wheelerstock. There will be over 10 bands for attendees to enjoy, all of whom have donated their talent and time to the benefit, and music of all genres and styles will be plenty. The outdoor summer concert is open to all ages, parking and on site camping are included, and there will be food and craft vendors, as well as an acoustic campfire jam to close out the evening. Wheelerstock is still accepting more vendors, of all types, and are looking for more sponsors to donate to the raffle or partner up for festival promotion, with tax write-off benefits for larger donations. Contact Ty McCarthy by email at [email protected] for more details on how to be a part of Wheelerstock. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online from www.rukkus. com. Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult. Volunteers are still needed.
