Cider Press
Dear Cider Readers,
With more and more music festivals coming into the local music scene each year, this July issue of Cider Mag has evolved into
a Summer Music Festival Issue, which made it hard to get it out
sooner, as there seemed to always be one more festival to cover, be a
part of, attend, or sponsor. This past month we had writers and photographers hopping all over NH, VT and even western Mass, sometimes in the same weekend, to get the great stories and stunning
images that fill the following pages of this issue. We even got in on
the brewers festival scene, too! I have to say that this last month felt
long and packed, and it’s no wonder, when I look at all the complex
and exciting content that Cider Mag has created, and that I’ve been
able to be a part of.
This Summer Music Festival Issue has brought along with it a lot
of new partnerships for Cider Mag, as we have been asked to sponsor
many upcoming events, including two very meaningful benefits, the
Fest for Wes (July 19, Hartland, VT) and Uplift Music Festival (July
26, Greenfield, NH), among others. For Cider Mag supporting a good
cause and giving back to the community is a major priority, and a
great way for us to “act locally.” Cider Mag will also be a sponsor
for Wheelerstock for Cystic Fibrosis (Sept. 9th, Croydon, NH). Our
Facebook page is very active now, with plenty of ticket giveaways for
these festivals and more happening every week.
I am also very excited to branch out of the NH and VT area a
little, and work with Gathering of the Vibes (July 31-Aug 3, Bridgeport, CT) and the Vibe Tribe. Cider Mag will be giving away a pair
of tickets to GOTV via Facebook (facebook/cidermag) or Twitter (@
cidermag) at some point within the upcoming weeks, so make sure
to stay connected with us to win! As part of the GOTV coverage,
Brett and I will be at the festival the first weekend in August, on the
ground, doing live updates on cidermag.com/blog, posting photos on
Facebook and Instagram, and getting exclusive video footage and
interviews for the Cider Mag YouTube Channel.
And finally, do not miss my exclusive interview—more like a
great conversation for me—with Slightly Stoopid’s drummer RyMo.
He shares his thoughts on their upcoming Boston and GOTV shows,
touring, recording a new album (with tons of
new material), and much more! As a big fan
of Stoopid, this interview—along with this
entire issue—is certainly a highlight in my
career, and I hope you enjoy reading it, as
much as I enjoyed writing it!
