After sitting dormant for more than a decade, Captain Kennedy House, the historic mansion perched on the bank of the Red River in St. Andrews, Manitoba re-opened its doors in May, rebranded The Heritage Tea Room( pictured above). The building’ s restoration marks the return of a dining room, furnished with all the romantic trappings of a country tea house. The reimagined destination is already attracting multi-generational families out for a drive, lunch groups and couples on dates seeking a taste of serenity with their clotted cream and jam covered scone.
