food festival Ciao! Dine About
Winnipeg! This year it runs from
February 1 to 11. The line-up of
restaurants is representative of
Winnipeg’s best places, and the
offers presented are designed to
impress. There are 20 different
restaurants offering three-course,
prix fixe meals and several menu
options from which to choose.
The atmospheres range from
bright and bustling to candlelit
and sophisticated.
The idea behind the event is
simple: to give restaurant goers
an incentive to brave the cold and
discover new eateries and tastes
at the same time! This passionate
group of restaurants simply wish
to remind us why we love eating
out! As such, DAW menus reflect
some of the best cooking out
there. Due to popularity, some
restaurants are offering special
three-course menus for lunch too.
Ordering in might be a
quick answer in a pinch, but
is unmatched to being in the
restaurant’s environment amidst
the action. After all, dining out
is a whole entertaining package:
socializing with the people we
love, eating food that arrives
in front of us at the correct
temperature, and having a server
whisk away our dirty dinner
plate. Delivery programs cost
restaurants dearly so the more
we order in, the more likely price
increases will follow.
Each year many of the
restaurants are sold to capacity
so make reservations to avoid
disappointment. With so many
signature dishes to try at such low
prices, this is a terrific week to get
out and try something new!
