Nenookaasi, ruby-throated hummingbird, is emblematic of Barsy’ s vibrant abstract practice, filled with birds in motion. Themes of migration, memory, and belonging reflect her Eagle Clan ancestry, rooted in teachings of love. These ideas also speak to Barsy’ s personal journey as an adopted child reconnecting with her roots through art. Her paintings bring colour, movement, and story into contemporary spaces.
