publisher’s note
A
t a time of year when frigid
temperatures can coax people
to stay in, Ciao! is pleased to offer
a great excuse to warm your cars,
and go out to eat! The hottest
dining event of the year – Ciao!
Dine About Winnipeg presented
by Manitoba Pork runs from February 2-12. Once again, Ciao! is
collaborating with restaurants to
offer three-course, prix fixe meals
at $18, $28 and $38 that deliver big
on creativity.
Participants represent Winnipeg’s best places, and the offers
presented are designed to impress.
Sample menus are listed in this
issue of Ciao! Full menus are on
www. ciaowinnipeg.com.
The atmospheres range from
bright and bustling to candlelit
and sophisticated. Manitoba Pork’s
support as presenting sponsor
has enriched the menu offers too.
There are many impressive dishes
featuring interpretations of pork
and a contest for diners to choose
their favourites. The pork dishes
with the most number of votes
will win in each of the course categories. Everyone engaged in the
voting will be entered to win a
dinner for two at one of the participating restaurants!
Participating restaurants measure the success of Ciao!Dine
About Winnipeg by how many
diners try new places. At the
same time, restaurants aim to
impress and win over some
fans. Because receiving excellent service is one of the things
that makes a dining experience
memorable, at your service salutes
Hermanos server, Liam EdgintonGreen for making an impression
on the most number of diners
during last year’s event.
Each year many of the restaurants
are sold to capacity so make reservations now. This is a terrific week
to try some new restaurants!
