Almond Crescents
INGREDIENTS 3 / 4 cup almond paste 3 / 4 cup granulated sugar 1 / 2 cup almond flour 1 1 / 4 Tbsp honey
1 / 4 cup egg whites ( 1 1 / 2 -2 eggs ) 2 cups sliced almonds 1 / 4 cup apricot glaze 1 cup chocolate wafers for dipping
METHOD 1 . Mix almond paste , sugar , almond flour , honey and egg whites together until a wet dough forms . 2 . Place almonds in a flat dish for rolling . 3 . Scoop some cookie dough ( approx . 2 Tbsp ) and roll in the almonds . 4 . Place on baking pan lined with parchment paper . 5 . Bake at 340 ° F for 9 – 11 minutes . Let cool . 6 . In a microwave , heat chocolate in 30-second intervals , stirring after each interval , until melted . 7 . Brush ends of cookies with apricot glaze 8 . Dip ends in chocolate .
