Long before“ community involvement” became a business buzzword, it was simply the way things were done at Santa Lucia Pizza. From its earliest days, helping neighbours, supporting local organizations and lending a hand whenever possible were values that came naturally to the Santa Lucia family, even when times were tough. Over the decades, that commitment has grown alongside the company. While the restaurants have expanded, the belief that a successful business should give back has remained unchanged. That philosophy eventually inspired the creation of Santa Lucia’ s three charity pizzas: Hal & Joe, Raising Dough, and The Kos( pronounced“ the cause”), each created in partnership with some of Winnipeg’ s leading radio stations. Every year, each pizza tells a new story by supporting a different Manitoba charity, allowing customers to make a meaningful impact with every order.
Over nine years, Santa Lucia Pizza and its radio partners have raised over $ 250,000 for charities across Manitoba— proof that something as simple as sharing a pizza can help change lives. At Santa Lucia Pizza, giving back isn’ t just an ingredient; it’ s part of who the company is.
