Was there a moment you
decided you wanted to be a
professional comedian?
It was a bit of a natural
progression. I began doing some
open mics the summer before my
final year of university. It led to
more…eventually you realize you
are paying your bills doing it.
Who is the funniest person
you know? My kids are the
funniest people I know. Of
course I know so many funny
comics. I have 30 favourites!
Who are you most excited
to meet during this year’s
Comedy Fest? Andrew Phung,
one of the stars on Kim’s
Convenience will be here–
he seems like a terrific guy
and thrilled to be a part of it.
What is the funniest city in
Canada. Why? Winnipeg is a
pretty reliable punch line…
for our weather and isolation.
How does food fit into a day you
have a show? I used to forget to
eat because of nerves. Now I suck
it up and enjoy the full course
meal offered at events.
What’s your definition of an all-
time perfect snack? A bowl of
bananas, strawberries, crushed
almonds on top and milk.

If you were an egg what type
would you be? Most days I’m
pretty scrambled.
Do you have a favourite
Winnipeg restaurant? Fusion
Grill. It’s a really nice night out
with really good food.
What’s the next big thing
for you? Planning for 2021,
Winnipeg Comedy Festival's
20th year.
How do you let loose? We have
dance parties at our house,
with strobe lights and all.
